A Boating Weekend

This weekend, we've been to stay on the boat, which has meant two trips in the Evil Cat Carrier.  I am getting a bit more used to the boat now, although I'm not sure it's real boating as we didn't go anywhere.  I couldn't hide under the chair when Dad started the engine, as they had visitors, so I had to hide under the duvet.  I did come out after a while and play the cute kitty, so they did make a big fuss of me.  Now, I'm not scared of the engine at all.

The bad news is that I didn't get let out this weekend.  Last weekend, Mum decided I could go out for a bit, so after a bit of looking round and air sniffing, I headed for the bushes and employed my "end of the world" howl", and refused to come out again.  A lady walking down the towpath was convinced something terrible was happening, and was about to call the RSPCA, until Mum pointed me out amongst the foliage.  I played catch the kitty with Dad for nearly an hour and a half before I let him pick me up, and he got stung by stinging nettles, so I wasn't a popular kitty.

Unfortunately, as much as it was all good fun, it's all back fired a bit, as this weekend the most I could manage was to press my little nose up against the windows.

Friday in the Garden

Friday is a good day to spend some time in the garden.  Here I am taking it easy.

The grass is looking nice and green now, you can tell I've been looking after it.  Dad says you've got to let it grow a bit before you cut is again.

Totally unrelated, Mum & Dad went to where they are going to keep the boat thing.  She didn't take many photos, but this is one of the boats they saw.

It's a bit of a funny looking thing, too much on the top apparently. I'm a bit worried about the boat thing.

The Boat

Over the weekend, Mum & Dad went to see the boat-thing, and came back very excited as it will be finished in a few weeks, apart from the painting, whatever that is.  I am a little worried about this, as from what they say there will a lot of to-ing and fro-ing, which means time in the Nasty Kitty Carrier, and I don’t like the Nasty Kitty Carrier. 

Mum has also been to see where the boat-thing will go, and showed me some new photos.

It looks pretty quiet, and I know there will be lots of exploring to do and things to chase in the hedge.  BUT, look at all that water.  That can’t be a good thing.  Mum says it’s quiet, and away from the road, which is good, but I’m still not too sure about the water thing.

I don’t know if I am going to like the boat-thing.
